Custom orthotics are three-dimensional insoles that are placed in your shoe to reduce pain and discomfort. Custom made orthotics can be used to treat; foot pain, heel pain, ankle pain, knee pain, hip pain, low back pain, flat feet and many other such problems. They also provide support and comfort during physical activities from casual walking to high-impact sports.

As health care professionals, we understand the mechanics and function of custom orthotics and how correct alignment of the foot can improve posture and overall body alignment, which then reduce pain in the back, hip, knees, heel and legs. We are knowledgeable in the fabrication of custom foot orthotics to meet all types of needs, such as diabetic patients, athletes and those who perform long standing, walking or heavy lifting at work. Orthotics work by decreasing high-pressure areas, stabilizing foot alignment and/or cushioning the foot.

When you attend our clinic for custom orthotics, you are first assessed by our health care professional to determine the correct orthotics for you. An imprint is then taken of your feet in the form of a foam cast or a computer scan and sent to an orthotic lab for manufacturing. The lab then make the custom orthotics based on our medical assessments and specifications. Once the orthotics are completed by the lab, we then dispense it to you with instructions for use. Orthotics will not permanently change your anatomy and will function only when you are standing or walking on them.
